Inspired by Tom Thomson's "Jack Pine", this is needle-felted silk on wool felt. I then hand embroidered the details. I was intrigued by Thomson's technique in the sky and reflected in the lake, and tried to emulate his approach using thin strips of silk.
Mounted on canvas painted white. Canvas measures 20" x 16" and the art work measures 12 7/8" x 9 7/8"
