These long scarves can be worn numerous ways - looped around the neck, under the lapels of a jacket, tied into a knot or a bow. They are very warm when worn under a winter coat or jacket. The great thing about them is that when you get too hot, you can loosen the scarf or put it under the lapels of your jacket.
I hand-dye each scarf using various techniques and professional dyes. This one was dyed using a low immersion technique. I then printed the scarf using textile paints and hand-carved wooden blocks, from Jaipur, India (where the work to make the blocks supports about 40 families). The hems of these scarves have been hand-rolled and hand-stitched, using silk thread (cotton or polyester thread would not take the dye and therefore would be unsightly).
Machine wash in a lingerie bag and iron while still damp. All my scarves have been washed and ironed this way prior to display for sale.
Made in a COVID-free, smoke and pet free home.
