Ash Ruby with Silver Embellishing
Highly figured selection of Ash with the exterior finish of a Ruby colouring and then top off by using a silver embellishing wax to accentuate the exterior grain. I am extremely pleased on how this piece turned out and amazed at how the colours blend on the exterior.
To protect the piece, multiple coats of high gloss wax was then friction applied creating a wonderful look and feel. Interior that has some wonderful spalting features was protected by high grade wood oil. This bowl is food safe.
The diameter of the bowl is approximately 6.5 inches and stands at a height of 2 inches. It weighs in at 10oz.
