Bay Rum scent is a light aroma of exotic Caribbean spices, Jamaican rum and West Indies bay leaf. It is distinctly sweet and spicy with notes of wood, though it is never overpowering. Beard oil is hydrating to the skin and helps soften and tame facial hair, which means it also does double-duty as a styling agent. The ideal beard should look shiny and groomed — not dusty, flaky and shaggy. When to apply: The basic rule of thumb is to apply beard oil at least twice a day. After your morning shower, apply beard oil to your face. When you get home from work, after you wash your face, you should apply beard oil. How much to put: If you're in the stubble stage, 2 to 4 drops is plenty. For a medium-sized beard, 5 to 6 drops. For a large beard, 6 to 8 drops.
