These top whorl drop spindles are made from a variety of Canadian hardwoods and are about 10 1/2" long. The whorls coe in 3 sizes: about 1.75", 2.25" and 3", or can be made to a specific size. If size is a critical issue, please indicate your preferred diameter at time of ordering.
Most popular woods are maple, cherry, oak and ash. Also available in Butternut, which is considerably lighter in weight than the other woods. Some exotic woods like Purpleheart, Bloodwood and Padauk are available for a minor extra cost. Weight varies depending on the wood used but generally weigh between 18 and 30 grams.
