This is a needle felted and hand-embroidered painting. Wool and silk fibres were needle felted onto a wool base, then the details were hand-embroidered. It is based on a stratified landscape - in my imagination, that is! I use many hand-dyed fibres and threads in my work. The embroidered details were done mostly in French knots but also some blanket stitch. The artwork measures 5" x 11" and is mounted on artist canvas that measures 6" x 12". Strung with professional hardware and ready to hang. (I don't charge HST)
