Koos inspired coat

>

This light-weight coat was made in response to one of the annual challenges of our ArtWear Ottawa group - inspired by a designer. I made this coat using the techniques of famous Koos van den Akker designer and innovator in wearable art. His signature techniques included applique and hand made bias binding to cover the raw edges. I included some of the leaf shapes he used so frequently in his work.

This coat would be suitable to wear for a cool evening out, going to a restaurant, the theatre or opera, or shopping on a spring or fall day.

It hangs below the knee, and is sized medium to large. The design is based on the "bog" coat pattern (look it up - the design has an interesting history).

Available for pickup from my home in central Stittsville, or I can ship at additional cost. I don't charge HST. Made by me in a smoke-free, pet-free, COVID-free home.

A bargain -- unique and one of a kind. There won't be another one!

A note from Ottawa Artisans: Please note that the vendor will contact you directly after payment to discuss your choice of local pick-up/drop-off or shipping (not included unless specified).
