A real eye pleaser on this Red Oak low profile bowl with a Ruby and black wax coloured interior. The exterior has been left natural which truly brings out the colour of the Ruby and Black. To enhance and protect the piece, multiple coats of food safe wax was applied that has created an amazing finish.
Please note – we have used food safe products to complete this project, however given the large pores in the grain of Red Oak, I tend to recommend not to use directly with “wet” food as it would eventually seep into the grain. (We do use Oak as a fruit platter – no issues to date).
The diameter of the bowl is approximately 9 inches and stands at a height of 1.75 inches. A very comfortable weight of 14oz.
