33 large white freshwater pearls, graduated in size, are kicked into gear by the insertion of four beads that could not be more different in colour and texture, vintage beads molded from that shiny black fibres.
The contrast between the lustrous pearls and the roughly-textured black beads, inserted strategically to achieve a stunning asymmetric balance, turns this necklace from “nice” to “knock-out”.
The necklace is joined by an unusual clasp in the art deco style.
Result: a sophisticated updated classic that can be dressed up or down.
