Rescued Maple Fountain or Rollerball Pen with Green Inlay

I was helping a friend stack firewood one day:   As we worked our way through the pile from the dumptruck, we kept finding pieces of maple that should not have been there.   Curly maple,  birds-eye maple, maple burl.   Wood that was too beautiful to burn!

So,  we rescued the most beautiful pieces.  I carefully dried the wood,  poured in epoxy around the cracks and gaps to create 'a river table in your hand', then went to work making beautiful pens. Each piece of wood was bonded to the pen body, cut and turned,  and then polished with dozens of coats of long-lasting wood oils to protect the wood for a lifetime of use.

Each pen is unique: the colour of the wood, the grain, how the epoxy filled in the grain.

There is even more beauty as you write with the pen: You can feel the texture of the wood as you write.    The metal finishes, the pen nib or the rollerball refills are all selected for delightful writing experiences.

Combine the pen you order with a beautiful presentation box (in maple, cherry or black) or a carefully stitched leather slip case.  (available in tan, brown, green or blue)
